Southdale Farms 6th Addition - Horace, ND

Southdale Farms 6th Addition is a 13-acre residential subdivision located approximately ½ mile north of Heritage Middle School in Horace, North Dakota. The development consists of 56 residential lots.

Lowry Engineering collaborated with the City of Horace to integrate the design and construction of 66th Street South into the design of Southdale Farms 6th Addition, as both projects were happening close to the same time. A significant challenge encountered during the design phase was the limited depth available for the sanitary sewer system installation. This is attributable to the site's topography, which features a lower elevation on the eastern end.

Lowry Engineering met this challenge head on by limiting the basement depth for a select few lots, and implementing 4-inch and 6-inch sanitary services with varying slopes. This optimized the depth at which the sanitary sewer system could be installed, while maintaining functionality.

Construction of the subdivision commenced in the summer of 2024.
