Metal Tech - Fargo, ND

Lowry Engineering completed the civil design for a parking lot expansion and drainage improvement project in Fargo, ND. Improvements consist of new concrete pavement, gravel yard area, stormwater detention and treatment system, and landscaping. As with all expansion projects, the most challenging aspect of the grading plan was using the existing pavement and elevations as the boundary for the newly designed area. Lowry Engineering was able to maximize the yard storage space while meeting stormwater detention area requirements by installing an oversized ditch on the west and south sides of the site and discharging the water to the existing storm sewer system. Construction is underway and will be completed in the Fall of 2019.
