The Meadows Apartments - Crookston, MN
Lowry Engineering worked with Northridge Construction on the civil design of a new apartment building spread across two lots in Crookston, MN. Design included a code review of city and state standard specifications as well as analyzing pond volume requirements, grading, and erosion and sediment control. The project required coordination with the owner, architect, city engineer, and fire marshall on changes to the building, utility conflicts, fire access routes, etc. The parking lot was designed for storm water to sheet flow into the drainage swale at three separate locations and discharge into the existing ditch on the west side of the property. The final site holds a 41-unit apartment building, 5 garage buildings, an ADA sidewalk, dumpster pads, a 35-stall parking lot, and a drainage swale.
